Spring 2023: Two New Models Join the Ichiro S-Series

Scissor Lab is pleased to announce the addition of two new models to the Ichiro S-Series lineup, effective immediately across our global distribution network.

The S-Series was first introduced in 2013 and has grown steadily to become one of the most recognised professional scissor ranges in our portfolio. These two new additions bring the total number of models in the series to seven, further extending its coverage across different cutting styles and hair types.

S-57: Filling the Gap Between 5.5” and 6.0”

The S-57 is a 5.7” cutting scissor that addresses a gap long noted by stylists working within the S-Series range. For those who find the S-55 slightly too short for their preferred technique but consider the S-60 a fraction too long, the S-57 offers a natural middle ground.

Construction follows the S-Series standard: VG10 steel, convex edge, and an offset handle for ergonomic positioning during extended cutting sessions. The blade geometry has been optimised specifically for the 5.7” length to ensure balance and consistent performance across all cutting angles.

S-T30: A Lighter Touch in Thinning

The S-T30 is a 30-tooth variant of the existing S-T thinning scissor. Where the original S-T (28-tooth) delivers confident blending and bulk removal, the S-T30 is calibrated for lighter, more controlled removal — particularly well-suited to fine hair, colour-treated hair, or processed hair that requires a gentler approach to texturising.

Both models are available immediately through the Ichiro Shears range via Scissor Lab’s authorised distributor network.
