Discontinuation Notice: Mina Classic Range
Scissor Lab wishes to formally notify its distributor partners that the following Mina Shears models will be discontinued as of December 2022:
- Mina Classic (6.0”)
- Mina Classic Long (7.0”)
- Mina Thin (thinning, 28-tooth)
These three models formed the original Mina range at the time of the brand’s founding and have been a consistent part of our product offering for over a decade. They have served well and earned strong loyalty from stylists across our markets.
Reason for Discontinuation
The Mina Classic range is now superseded by the full Mina Professional Series, which was introduced in 2019. The Professional Series offers improved specifications — including updated VG10 steel formulation, refined convex edge geometry, and a significantly broader size range — and provides a more comprehensive fit for today’s salon professionals. With the Professional Series now firmly established, we are consolidating the Mina range accordingly.
Remaining Stock
Remaining inventory of the Mina Classic, Mina Classic Long, and Mina Thin is available through authorised distributors while supplies last. Distributors wishing to place final orders for these models are encouraged to do so before the end of Q3 2022 to ensure availability.
Transition Guidance
For customers currently using any of the discontinued models, we recommend the following equivalents within the Mina Professional Series:
- Mina Classic → Mina Pro Classic 6.0”
- Mina Classic Long → Mina Pro Crane 7.0”
- Mina Thin → Mina Slice (35-tooth)
