Introducing the Mina Professional Series
Scissor Lab is pleased to announce the expansion of the Mina Shears range with the launch of the Mina Professional Series — a refined, comprehensive lineup that builds on the foundations of the original Mina range and extends it with additional models, sizes, and ergonomic options.
Since the introduction of the original Mina range, the line has been well received by salon professionals across our distributor markets. The Professional Series represents a natural evolution: more size options, a dedicated crane-handle model, and a purpose-designed thinning shear — all held to the same exacting standard of Japanese craftsmanship.
The New Lineup
Mina Pro Classic
The core cutting shear of the Professional Series, available in three sizes to suit a wide range of stylists and cutting techniques:
- Mina Pro Classic 5.5” — versatile, suited to detail work and most cutting styles
- Mina Pro Classic 6.0” — the all-rounder, ideal for salon general use
- Mina Pro Classic 6.5” — preferred for long-hair work and slide cutting
Mina Pro Crane
The crane-handle variant of the Pro Classic, designed for stylists who prioritise ergonomic positioning and reduced shoulder and wrist strain during extended sessions. Available in four sizes: 5.5”, 6.0”, 6.5”, and 7.0”.
Mina Slice
A dedicated thinning shear with a 35-tooth blade, designed for precise texturising, weight removal, and blending. The Mina Slice pairs naturally with the Mina Pro Classic for a complete cutting and finishing workflow.
Mina Left Edition
A purpose-built left-handed scissor, available in the 6.0” offset handle configuration. Engineered for the same performance standard as the right-hand models — not a mirror adaptation.
Specifications
All models in the Mina Professional Series are constructed from VG10 steel with a convex edge ground and finished by hand in Japan. VG10 provides excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and durability well suited to the demands of daily salon use.
